We accept BCBS PPO and Aetna and will bill your insurance provider for sessions. You are responsible for your copay at the time of service.
Out-of-network clients (have insurance other than BCBS PPO or Aetna) are responsible for the full fee at time of service. However, most of our clients are successfully reimbursed by insurance companies at the “out of network” rate. Each month DBT Institute of Central Illinois will provide you with a “super bill” with all of the information required to submit to your insurance company for out-of-network benefits. You send your insurance company the super bill, and they mail you a check. This works really well for most people.
Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services. I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
- Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
- Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
- Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
- Common CPT codes used include Intake (90791), Individual (90834), and Group (90835). At what rate will these be reimbursed?
Payment
Payment is due at time of service. All major credit cards are accepted as forms of payment.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 48 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session.
