Karem Muksed brings a deep commitment to helping individuals navigate the complexities of their emotional experiences and discover a life aligned with their values. Karem works alongside clients to address their ineffective coping strategies, habits and core beliefs that are often manifestations of intense suffering. Although this work is quite challenging, and at times can be painful, it can be quite meaningful and helpful in creating a life worth living and a sense of belonging.

Drawing from his personal experiences as a former Iraqi refugee, Karem integrates a profound understanding of healing and finding meaning amidst pain into his work. He holds a clinical master’s degree in social work from The University of Chicago and has extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Karem is dedicated to creating a collaborative therapeutic environment. He is particularly passionate about helping individuals break free from cycles of distress, manage intense emotions, and cultivate a life filled with purpose and resilience. Karem specializes in working with individuals facing chronic distress, binge eating, anxiety, self-harm behaviors, and relationship issues.
